The CO2 footprint is the result of an emissions calculation or CO2 balance. It indicates the amount of greenhouse gases released by an activity, process or action. A carbon footprint can be specified, for example, for business or production processes in companies. Products also have a carbon footprint, which includes the sum of the emissions caused by the manufacture, use, recycling and disposal of the respective product.
